An Illinois State University student is claiming to be the victim of a hate crime.  Normal Police said Eric Unger, of Deerfield, was walking home from a party Saturday around 2:30 a.m. when he was allegedly jumped by six black men.  Unger says the six men were yelling anti-gay slurs during the beating. Police say the student was taken to the hospital where he was treated for facial injuries, including scratches and bruises.
