Christian County Board Helps Pets Get Spayed and Neutered

Many issues were discussed at last night’s Christian County Board Meeting. Something that was not on the docket, but has been an issue is the dispute between the City of Taylorville and Christian County for the Prison.

Something that came up during the meeting was the issue of helping people get their dogs and cats spayed and neutered. Schmitz says that nearly half the cost for spaying and neutering pets will be covered now.

Another item brought up was the wellness fair that is forthcoming for Christian County employees. Schmitz says that people who come will get healthy food.

With electricity costs rising everyday people are not the only ones looking for a change in their electric companies. The Christian County Board also brought up the issue of changing their electricity provider. Schmitz says that the board is waiting to make sure there is not a buyout on their electricity contract.

The next County Board meeting is scheduled for May 15th at 6 pm.
