Alleged Hit and Run in Mcdonald's Parking Lot

Macy E. Holstlaw, 16, of Taylorville told officers that her car had been hit and the other car left the scene. Holstlaw stated that Homer Leblanc, 69, of Taylorville was backing out from a parking space at Mcdonald's and he hit her vehicle.

Unknown witnesses told Holstlaw that they saw and heard Leblanc hitting Holstlaw's 2004 Volkswagen Beetle. Holstlaw was able to get Leblanc's license plate.

Leblanc's 1986 Chevy two door pickup truck was found, but not Leblanc himself. Holstlaw identified the vehicle. The truck was towed and had a hold place on it.

Leblanc came to the Taylorville Police Department on Thursday and Leblanc said that Holstlaw hit the rear bumper of his truck as she was pulling into a parking space at Mcdonald's.

There was no transfer of paint from Holstlaw's car onto Leblanc's bumper. Leblanc was issued citations for no valid driver's license and leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage.
