On Tuesday night officers responded to a two vehicle accident at East Park and East Main Cross.

Laurel M. Jacobs, 56, of Pana, said she was messing with her radio and did not see that Anthony J. Minton, 18, of Owaneco, was stopped at the stop light.

Jacobs said she struck the rear end of Minton's 2002 Honda Accord. Jacobs had front end damage and Minton had rear end damage from Jacobs. Jacobs' 2002 Volkswagen Beetle was towed from the scene of the accident.

Jacobs was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. There were no injuries reported.
