Eight Members of Local Law Enforcement Agencies Complete New Course

 />Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp and Pana Police Department Chief Brad Sims have announced that eight members of Law Enforcement agencies in Christian County have completed the <em>Lead Homicide Investigator Course</em> held by the <em>Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board</em>.</p>
<p>The course, held in December, was attended by Sergeant Alan Bailey, Sergeant Gary Rexroad  and Investigator Dan Marron of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office; Chief Richard Adams, Kincaid Police Department; Chief Mike Riley, Edinburg Police Department; Investigator Rick Bryan, Taylorville Police Department and Police Officers Daniel Bland and Richard Rahar, Pana Police Department.</p>
<p>The <em>Lead Homicide Investigator Course</em> covers a multitude of areas including: Types of Death Investigations, Crime Scene Management, Interview & Interrogation, Investigative Resources, Case Management, and Legal Issues.</p>
<p><strong>Only law enforcement officers who successfully complete the training program or receive a waiver of compliance based on prior training and/or experience as a homicide investigator may be assigned as lead investigators in death and homicide investigations.</strong><strong></strong></p>
