Area Arrests

An accident Sunday in Taylorville ended with a Taylorville woman being arrested. Police were called to the Amity Food Mart on W. Spresser ST. at around 11:15 Sunday morning on reports of a two vehicle accident. Joshua C. Hawthorne of Taylorville told police his car was struck from behind by a vehicle drive by 20-year-old Megan Hoenig of Taylorville. Hoenig reportedly told police she couldn’t’ stop in time to avoid the collision. Meanwhile, officers discovered that Hoenig was apparently driving on a suspended license. She was arrested, processed and released on a notice to appear. The accident caused no injuries.

Taylorville police made an arrested Monday. 32-tyear-old Kandi R. Jacobs was apparently wanted on a Christian county warrant. She was arrested and taken to the Christian County Jail in lieu of bond.

Taylorville Police were summoned to the Old Bridge Restaurant in Taylorville in reference to reports of an intoxicated man. Jacylin Bosser told officers that her father, 56-year-old Gary Schwab of Attica, Ohio, was drunk and causing a scene at the restaurant. Schwab was arrested on a local ordinance violation and released on a notice to appear.

Police arrested a Taylorville man Friday afternoon. Taylorville officers were advised of a motorist on Bidwell ST. Driving on a revoked license. They pulled the vehicle over and discovered that the driver, 53-year-old Joseph P. Ballion of Taylorville, was indeed driving with his license revoked. Ballion was arrested, processed, and released on a notice to appear.

19 year-old Hunter J. Oliver of Taylorville was arrested on an original warrant for an  unspecified statute.  

31 year-old Missy A. Kriner  of Mt. Auburn was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant for unspecified statute.
