26 year old Derek W. Kelmel, of Morrisonville, was traveling east on 5th street in Palmer.  He did not stop at the stop sign and was traveling to the east to make the turn onto main street.  Kelmel hit a utility pole causing damage to the pole and to his 2002 Chevrolet Impala.  Kelmel received minor injuries.
