Former Cubs third baseman and broadcaster Ron Santo was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Monday. The nine-time All-Star was the only one of 10 candidates to receive the necessary votes from the Golden Era committee. Santo played 14 seasons with the Cubs before ending his career with the White Sox in 1974. Santo died at age 70 last December.
