While many in Christian County are happy about the recent up vote on the Tenaska legislation, not everyone supports the multi-billion dollar project. 51st district Senator Kyle McCarter, an early strong supporter of Tenaska, is now one of its strongest detractors:

The Senate passed the bill 30 to 28 Tuesday afternoon. The bill’s next stop will be in the Illinois House this spring.
