Amendment to City Ordinance Voted on at Taylorville City Council Monday Night

 width=At Monday Night’s Taylorville City Council Meeting, an amendment was voted on and passed to begin regulating dogs and cats within the city’s corporate limits. Alderman Bruce Jones believes that this amendment to the current ordinance to be in the best interest of the people of Taylorville.

By adopting this amendment to the City Ordinance, Alderman Jones says that this change will benefit the entire community.

Mayor Greg Brotherton made it clear that this amendment would not prohibit anyone from owning multiple dogs and cats.

The Taylorville City Council meets every first and third Monday of the month in the city council chambers beginning at 7:00 p.m.
