The St. Louis slugger, who has been on the 15-day disabled list since late June with a fractured wrist, said yesterday that he will visit the doctor today and could even return to the lineup tonight. He is eligible to return from the DL today. Pujols has reportedly been swinging a bat at full strength for almost a week and also taking ground balls. Manager Tony La Russa has already stated that Pujols will not need to go on a rehab assignment before he makes his return to the lineup.
