Christian County Court Cases 04/26/19

Samantha J. Abbott, appeared in a pretrial hearing for multiple charges including possession of meth under 5 grams and theft under $300.  Abbott has a continuance for pretrial June 13th.

 

George T. Bailey of Kincaid, appeared for a motion to reduce bail. Bailey's counsel denied that that motion ever happened.  Bailey has a continuance set for May 13th.

 

Justin L. Barnes of Pana, appeared for allegedly violating a no contact order, domestic battery and other charges. Barnes waived his right to preliminary hearing and has plead not guilty.  He is set for jury trial May 31st.

 

Colby D. Coleman of Pana, appeared for a possession of meth under 5 grams.  He was granted a continuance for May 23rd in order for him to hire counsel.  

 

Brittany C. Hester of Pana, appeared in a pretrial hearing on a possession of meth under 5 grams.  The Case is set for continuance for pretrial June 4th so that she can meet with her counsel.

 

Heather D. Jett of Taylorville, is being charged with theft under $500 dollars.  Jett pleads guilty as part of a plea agreement and will face 24 months probation along with fines and court fees.

 

Brandi S. Kay of Taylorville, is in court for an alleged possession of meth under 5 grams.  Kay failed problem solving court and has had her bond denied.  She will be held until her next court date on Monday April 29th.

 

Tyler R. Martin of Taylorville, has plead not guilty and will have a formal arraignment for a trial by Jury on June 14th.

 

James T. Melvin of Taylorville, is in court for allegedly dealing cannabis.  Melvin was granted a continuance set for June 7th due to negotiations on a plea deal.

 

Christopher M. Murphy of Taylorville, is in court for an alleged possession of meth. He received a continuance for additional pretrial set for June 13th.

 

Brittany S. Sauer is in court for motion to reduce bail.  She is being charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.  Sauer's counsel denied that that motion for reducing bail ever happened.  She has a continuance set for May 13th.

 

Mark M. Zepin of Kincaid is in court for aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  He is also being charged with 7 counts of child pornography.  He has waived his arraignment and plead not guilty.  Zepin's pretrial is set for May 28th.
