Sons of the American Revolution Meeting

From 10:00AM to 11:00AM

The Stephen Decatur Chapter of the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) is rotating their meetings in the area during the coming year, na in November, they will meet at the Christian County Historical Museum on the 18th at 10:00 am. This will also be an informational meeting for anyone interested in learning how to become a member. For more information call Dave Miler at 649-4025.

Thanksgiving Dinners for Shut-ins and the Needy

Thanksgiving dinner for shut-ins and needy by the DeWitt County Veterans and Auxiliaries.

Thanksgiving Dinners will be provided by the VFW, AMVETS, and American Legion. Deliveries will be made to Clinton, DeWitt, Kenney, Walden, and Wapella areas.

If you need a dinner(s) please call the VFW at (217) 935-4032. Please provide a name, phone number, address, and the number of meals to the voice mail. There is also a sign-up sheet on a clipboard at the Wishbone/VFW Post.

Please call or sign up by Monday, November 21. There will be a limit of six (6) dinners! Deliveries will be made between 10:30 am and noon.

If you'd like to help, cooking will start at the American Legion on Monday, November 21 and everything will end with the deliveries by 12:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day.
