Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 6-9-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Isaac J. Moore, 39, of 2500 Burton Street, Springfield, was arrested June 6 for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

John W. Sorrells, 31, of 905 South Wyandotte Street, Taylorville, was arrested June 5 for driving under the influence of 625 5/11-501-a-2

Jacob M. Durbon, 23, of 708 East Fifth, Pana, was arrested June 7 for 625 5/11-501-a-3

Donald A. Klinger, 44, of 500 West Adams Street, Taylorville, was arrested June 6 for the issuance of warrant.

Cory A. Skinner, 20, of 1212 West Prairie Street, Taylorville, was arrested June 7 for aggravated fleeing or eluding officer, resisting/obstructing officer, and theft.

Dale Krouse, 44, of 525 South Walnut Street, of Taylorville, was arrested June 7 for domestic battery.

Retta A. Loreth, 53, of 1202 Roosevelt Road, Taylorville, was arrested June 7 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Nicholas L. Logue, 22, of 1479 North 2000 East Road, Taylorville, was arrested June 7 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Connor J. Bollinger, 21, of 1735 East 1800 North Road, Stonington, was arrested June 8 for possession of cannabis of less than 2.5 grams.

Ryan J. Dailey, 18, of 242 North Park Road, Decatur, was arrested June 8 for possession of a controlled substance.


THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On June 7 at 4:38am, Taylorville Police Department officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. Officers made contact with the driver later identified as Cory A. Skinner, 20, of Taylorville. During the course of the traffic stop, Skinner fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers followed Skinner west on Market Street. Skinner wrecked into a tree at 111 South Houston Street. Skinner was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, motor vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer, resisting/obstructing a police officer, and no valid driver's license. Skinner was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation. Skinner was then transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and lodged at the Christian County Correctional Center.

On June 5 at 12:38pm, Taylorville Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of East Franklin Street in reference to a disturbance. The officers located two females in the 700 block of East Franklin Street. The two females stated they were at 1025 East Franklin dropping off some clothes to an ex-boyfriend who was identified as Kurklan Dickey, 19,of Taylorville. Marjeana Disney said Dickey punched the passenger side quarter panel of her vehicle causing a dent. The officer arrested Dickey for criminal damage to property. Dickey was transported to Taylorville Police Department then processed and released on a notice to appear.

On June 6 at 7:29pm, Taylorville Police Department officers located Donald A. Klinger, 43, of Taylorville who had a valid warrant out of Christian County. Klinger was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Sheriff's Office in lieu of bond.

On June 6 at 12:28am, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation, A male subject in a truck, not involved with the incident, came to a stop behind the officer's patrol vehicle. As the officer exited the squad car, the unknown male subject also exited and began to approach. The officer gave the man a direct order to return to his vehicle citing officer safety issues. The male subject continued to approach. The officer gave him a direct order again to return to his vehicle and he complied. As the officer was conducting his traffic stop, the unknown male approached once again. He appeared from the dark and approached from a lake lot that was next to the roadway. His truck was still parked behind the patrol vehicle. The officer again gave him a direct order to leave. The man continued to interfere with the traffic stop and was then placed under arrest for obstructing/resisting a peace officer. While attempting to secure him in handcuffs, the man continued to resist. The officer reportedly noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from him. The male was later identified as Kyle A. Beeler, 26, of Taylorville. Beeler was transported to Taylorville Police Department for processing and released on a notice to appear.

On June 7 at 12:12am, Taylorville Police Department dispatched was contacted by Taylorville Memorial Hospital Staff in reference to a patient being treated who was involved in a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the victim, Beth Y. Burton, and she stated that her and the suspect, Dale G. Krouse had been involved in a domestic fight at their residence 525 South Walnut Street. After receiving treatment, Burton came to Taylorville Police Department to get a statement and temporary complaint. She was given an IDVA form and was escorted to the residence to retrieve some clothes. When officers and Burton arrived, Krouse was passed out on the couch. Krouse was arrested and transported to Taylorville Police Department to be processed and then lodged at Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.

On June 8 at 2:32am, Taylorville Police Department officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Clay in reference to a noise complaint. When officers arrived, they found approximately 20 subjects arguing in front of 818 South Clay Street. Following the investigation, Jeffrey A. Durbin, 27, of Taylorville, Harley D. McQuinn, 20, of Edinburg, Courtney L. Rueff, 20, of Taylorville, and Ashleigh N. McKinney, 21, of Morrisonville were all arrested for fighting in public. McQuinn and Rueff were also charged with illegal possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor. All parties involved were transported to Taylorville Police Department, processed, and released with a notice to appear.
